Meet the author

Gregory T. Washington was born and raised in Neptune, NJ in an environment where his odds for success were not in his favor. However, he always knew he wanted to beat the odds and overcome the unique obstacles that came along with this challenge. Deciding to become a middle school wrestler introduced him to a new lifestyle that directed him on a path truly made for him. Through wrestling he gained many skills and tools that he still uses today to encourage his strong mindset, to provide him with courage to face adversity, and to evoke a positive outlook, even in dark times, to ultimately get his win.
